03 November 2026, Limassol. On 28 May 2026, Cool Carriers Ltd (Cool Carriers or the Company) acknowledged the publication of an article in an online media outlet EU Today, registered in the United Kingdom, making factually incorrect, grossly misleading and defamatory allegations about Cool Carriers, its CEO and senior managers.

Cool Carriers is pleased to announce that EU Today has now removed the article.  It has also published a clarification and full apology at the original URL of the previously published article.

The editorial team of EU Today has confirmed the following:

“EU Today did not intend to allege that Cool Carriers, Mr Ganyushin or Mr Nazimok knowingly participated in, facilitated or were complicit in the trafficking of prohibited substances referred to in the article. We apologise for any impression the article may have given to the contrary. We also apologise for not having approached Cool Carriers and the individuals concerned directly for comment before the original publication.”

EU Today also clarifies that Cool Carriers did not own the four vessels referred to in the article, nor did it employ their crews or exercise day-to-day onboard control of those vessels.

It notes that Cool Carriers has informed EU Today that neither the company nor Mikhail Ganyushin or Maxim Nazimok has ever been or is under investigation in relation to the matters reported in the article. EU Today is not aware of evidence establishing otherwise. We have also been informed on behalf of the company and the individuals concerned that none has been or is subject to sanctions imposed by the United States, European Union or United Kingdom.

Cool Carriers is aware that several other articles published by various media outlets also contain false and/or inaccurate and/or misleading, as well as potentially defamatory statements repeating the false EU Today allegations (without proper due diligence) and we are in the process of addressing these.

The Company and its management team hold themselves to the highest legal and ethical standards and strongly condemn any form of criminal activity.

Vessels operated by Cool Carriers, alongside those operated by its peers, cooperate with designated authorities and fully comply with security procedures to avoid contraband penetration, going above and beyond the standard requirements.
